The Arsenal forward made his much-anticipated tournament debut on Tuesday, urging the squad to remain composed despite a disappointing draw that leaves them in need of a favorable result in their final group match. He characterized the World Cup as a "long journey."

"It’s normal," he stated when addressing the negative reactions. "There will always be outside opinions on the game, but we’re not overly concerned with that. We have confidence in our approach and what we’re doing."

"(We) can’t afford to spend too much time listening to those who aren’t on the field. We know our strategy, trust our process, and maintain our confidence—that's what matters most."

"This is a long journey. You can’t allow yourself to be too high or too low; you need to trust in the present moment. We're aiming to enjoy this experience and remain confident about what's to come."

England showcased remarkable control at Boston Stadium, boasting an impressive 78.8% possession—marking the highest percentage recorded in goalless World Cup matches since 1966.

The Three Lions also unleashed 19 shots at goal, hitting the crossbar, while captain Harry Kane narrowly missed in the dying moments.

Despite the lack of goals, Eze maintained a positive outlook on England's performance.

"Ghana were exceptionally solid and compact, which made things challenging for us at times," he noted. "We dictated much of the game and were unfortunate not to find the back of the net, but we will remain optimistic, trust our game plan, and carry that confidence into the next match."

The forward emphasized that the result would not shift England's mindset as they prepare for their crucial final Group L clash against Panama on Saturday, a match they must win to secure top position.

"Our mentality remains unchanged; we're solely focused on what we need to do to secure a victory," he affirmed.

"We are positive. We understand the work that has brought us to this point; we're confident in our approach. Today was challenging due to their strong performance, but we could have emerged victorious."

"I have faith that our style of play and the confidence we bring will position us well to top the group."
